What to look for on Jeremy's site

In 2004 our 11 year old son Jeremy experienced an AVM or ruptured blood vessel in his head which caused multiple strokes.  This robbed him of his abilities of being a normal child with aspiring dreams and left him without being able to walk, eat, speak or do any other normal activities.

The reason for this site was to communicate to family, friends and the community in general to what was happening with Jeremy on an ongoing basis.  2+ years after its creation the site has become rather large.  I simply can't bring myself to delete any of it.

If you're not interested in reading War and Peace here are some keys parts of the site to view.

  • Jeremy's Story from the beginning - There are three emails that went out to inform family and friends what was going on when Jeremy's injury first occurred.  View those from the buttons on the left.
  • The BLOG is a living diary of the struggles and issues that Jeremy and the family has faced.  This is the main part and reason for the website.
  • Donations or Fundraising - Helping to cover what insurance won't.  Holly had to quit her job to care for Jeremy so we find ourselves short trying to cover medical bills and ongoing therapy.
  • Giving Back - Luckily we have many friends and family that have helped and the community has been generous.  If you can benefit from our experience please feel free to ask for help with:
    • Where to go for special medical needs, therapies, or other treatments
    • How to deal with your insurance.  Be prepared to fight!
    • Creating a website like Jeremy's to help your family.  I would be happy to help.
    • Fundraising ideas - What has worked for us and what we could have done better.

Thanks for taking the time to view Jeremy's site.  If you have suggestions for the site or find errors please let me know so I can correct.  Also see our main page where a few local businesses have their sites through us to help us offset the cost of Jeremy's site.
